Our Environmental Pledge

At Rauma Maritime Museum, we take responsibility for our environment and society. We are committed to promoting more responsible and environmentally sustainable practices and to continuously learning new ways to improve. We take concrete action and set clear goals for our operations.

1. Sustainable Procurement and Circular Economy. We prioritize eco-friendliness and responsibility in our procurement. We use goods and materials for as long as possible and always consider opportunities for reuse and repurposing.
2. Preserving Biodiversity. We cherish natural biodiversity. In collaboration with the City of Rauma, we work to preserve and promote the biodiversity of the area surrounding the museum building. Through our exhibitions and content, we highlight the importance of marine biodiversity and encourage actions to protect our seas.
3. Encouraging Responsible Action. We encourage our partners and visitors to act responsibly. Environmental themes are a key part of our communication, and we ensure our staff is well-trained and actively involved in our environmental initiatives.
